Our teacher made us do this exercise called "lateral exploration" which we have to mix and match different time period, cultures, artists etc. to come up with a new character design. He made us do five character designs. This is my favorite one. The rest sucks.

This is for my design2 class with Nick Domingo. We get to pick any existing story and change it the way we want. My group chose a story called The Little Matchgirl by Hans Christian Anderson. We changed it to the Little Methgirl.:) Here are my character designs for the story.

I've been watching and studying bnw films during my break to learn more about compositions and values. I gave myself an hour to an hour and a half to finish each piece.

Here's one of our homeworks in the composition class with Bill Perkins. He gave us a poem and let us create our own interpretation of the poem. The first image was my homework and the rest is me trying to make it to a finish piece. :)

I showed this to some of my classmates for comments and suggestions. The last two images was what I came up with. Thank you guys!;)

I've been attending an online workshop at cgtalk with Don Seegmiller. Here's some of our assignments for the past two weeks.

tribute

A piece done for the weekly challenge at conceptart.org. This is a tribute to a great artist who just passed away unexpectedly. That artist loves to draw chicks with vehicles so the theme of the concept was obviously chicks with vehicles. :)
